IBILOI
IS A WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Due to the fact that
some of the world’s most important palaeontological
and archaeological sites fall within its boundaries
it was recognized as such, but it is also site of
stunning beauty and interesting wildlife, and this
too justifies its status. The unique biodiversity
surrounding Lake Turkana is worth a look.
MAMMALS
Sibiloi is a refuge to a number of dry country
wildlife species including gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, the
rare lesser kudu and Grevy zebra. Tiang, the
northern variant of the Topi, and the common
Burchell’s zebra can be seen grazing along the
